How do you install graphics driver for toshiba satellite laptop running Ubuntu?

I’ve been having problems with the screen size. There’s s black border around the display. It’s hard to explain. I need to install graphics drivers for my friend’s Toshiba Satellite 1805-S207.

good luck. i’ve had too many problems w/ every iteration of linux i’ve tried from 3.4 to current. and the ‘tons of open source support’ is of little to no help at all and if the manufacaturer of the hardware doens’t support it, you’re gonna be writing your own driver.
